Next Generation Superintendents’ Leadership Cohort

Our very own Thomas Shaffer
, President of Healthy Campus, recently presented at the Next Generation Superintendents’ Leadership Cohort in Palo Alto.

Mental Wellness Universal Screeners

Our new universal screening program
is proving to be extremely valuable for students.

The screening process is offered at local schools, usually at a predetermined time of day, and helps to identify anxiety, depression, and other potential internal challenges that currently impact many children today.

Knowledge is power and we can provide the resources to help our students move through tough and tricky times.

The Mental Health Universal Screening program is predominantly funded through grants and district funding, and our partnership with the Feaster Charter School has already earned recognition from the state.

While currently available in multiple California school districts, in the future we hope to expand the screening program to other schools and districts throughout the country!

Sports Physical Event

On September 16th, we had the pleasure of partnering with the Santa Ana Unified School District in order to provide sports physicals for all middle and high school students so that they are able to take part in school sports across the district.

Being physically fit and playing sports is so important to the physical, emotional and mental health of students, and we were so happy to be able to help them acquire the necessary approvals to participate in these activities.

Community Wellness Event

Dr. Cholos-Wood presented to 30 community members
on “Revolutionizing School-Based Health”.

On September 23rd, we attended the Garvey Elementary School District’s Community Wellness event at Garvey Intermediate School.

At least 500 families were in attendance at the event. The team’s medical assistants managed the booth, answered questions and interacted with community members.

Additionally, family-practice physician, Dr. Cholos-Wood gave a presentation, titled “Revolutionizing School-Based Health,” to the families about Healthy Campus programs and services for staff and students, including outbreak testing and mental wellness support.

Two of our medical staff members (Carlos G. and Nicole Z.) at the booth with Healthy Campus flyers. They interacted with several families while answering questions regarding our services.
